Cocktail Trivia
Sauza Hornitos Tequila is
produced by a company founded by Don Cenobio Sauza in 1873 and built
by three successive generations of the Sauza family. Unlike many of
it's competitors, Sauza Hornitos is made using 100% Agave Spirit. It
is classified as Reposado Tequila indicating that has
benefited from a period of resting in oak and unusually the
production process involves baking the agave father than steaming.
This process gives it a slightly smoky flavor. Fitting the name
Hornitos which means 'little ovens!
Cointreau has been a
worldwide legend since its creation in 1849. It is in our
opinion the finest orange liquor available. Its authentic
qualities, 150 years heritage, and its presence in virtually
every bar in the world, make Cointreau one of the most famous
spirits. In 1849, in Angers, France,
confectioner Adolphe Cointreau and his brother, Edouard-Jean
created a brand new spirit from the fruits of the area. The secret recipe of Cointreau has been
passed on generation to generation in the family. Since its
creation, Cointreau has remained unique and unchanged.
Grand Marnier, a blend of Curacao and Cognac,
has been made by Marnier-Lapostolle since 1880. Traditionally,
Grand Marnier was taken straight after a meal. But lately the
marketing of the product has emphasized it in premium
cocktails like the Cadillac Margarita and the Millionaire's
Margarita.
